TechHelp Ottawa has purchased the very latest state-of-the-art software that allows us to compress your personal movies and video clips to small files suitable for portable video players (such as "iPods", "iPhone", "Zunes", mp3 players, etc.).
Compressing video files
• Much like converting CDs to much smaller mp3 files, we are able to compress large video files into smaller ones that are suitable for small screen portable players;
• The compression process is quite time consuming, especially if the source is analogue (such as VHS or camcorder tape).
• First, the original analogue video has to be copied or captured digitally in real time before it can be passed through compression software that reduces file size.
• Then the end product has to be burned to CD or DVD so that you can transfer the compressed video onto your portable video player (we can assist with that, too).
