TechHelp offered to help me in the transfer of my father's old reel film to DVDs. These are movies dating from the mid-50s and consequently very dear to me and my siblings. It was a time-consuming process to copy some forty reels of various sizes and lengths onto his computer but Stuart persevered.

When all the copying had been done, we two sat down together several times to talk about editing, adjusting, labelling and finally, transferring.

Create a DVD with your Video Content

We do an excellent job of converting VHS as well as 8 mm and mini DV Camcorder video camera tapes to DVD. We strive for the following:

1. Colour balance true to the original film (We adjust for colour issues as best we can);

2. Exposure settings true to the original film (We adjust for under and over exposure as best we can);

4. Picture in 4:3 format (We cannot sharpen out-of-focus shots or reduce shakiness).

We can keep your files for one year
Upon request, we can archive your video files for one year. So in case your DVD becomes damaged or lost, we replace the contents at minimal charge.

Navigating your DVD on your DVD player
• If you chose to have your content committed to a DVD player-ready disc, your DVD will have an animated introduction just like any commercial movie you might rent from a video store. When you press the "Movie" link, you are taken to the list of your movies. Select any movie by clicking on the button with your remote. Press "Menu" on your remote to get back to the main menu.

You choose the DVD theme
As described above, the DVD containing your movies has an animated introduction, and the look of that introduction is governed by a "theme." Upon request, we can help you choose from a wide variety of themes that might best suite your movie genre. For example, you can choose from formal and informal themes suitable for birthdays, weddings, seasons, children, music, etc.
